March 8th is International Women's Day.
And the theme this year is Accelerate Action 🏃🏃♀️
Over the next few weeks, we will see many events celebrating International Women's Day. And, we should absolutely celebrate them all 🎉
But…what happens after the event?
What are you going to do about it?
In keeping with the theme this year, I am all for ACTION.
Did you know, based on the latest Gender Pay Gap data in Australia, for every $1 on average a man makes, women earn 78c!
Did you also know, based on data, amongst everything else, the SINGLE most impactful action you can take is to accelerate women into every leadership level of your company?
As a C-Suite Leader, Board Member or Senior Executive you have tremendous influence, power, and advocacy to do something about this.
Don't just attend the IWD event you have been invited to or speaking at and then forget about it.
